Now You Can Sell Your Used Products On Amazon India, Competition to likes of OLX, Quikr &

Amazon is considering old goods and building a platform to resell those products as it would help expand the e-commerce business in India.

As a part of this, Amazon has launched its “Sell As Individuals” service in India, which allows users to sell their used goods easily. The pilot program for the same is operational currently in Bangalore.

Even though it is still in an early phase, this move should worry big e-commerce giants like Olx, Ebay and Quikr, as these are some popular platforms in the space that allows the individuals to sell their used products without any hassle.

The products one wishes to sell will be listed on the website and as someone places an order for the same, a representative from Amazon India would visit the seller and collect the product from their doorstep at a time preferable time.

How much Amazon will charge the sellers?

  • INR 10 for every item they sell below INR 1,000
  • INR 50 for every item which are sold between INR 1,000 to 5,000
  • INR 100 if the item sold costs more than INR 5,000

Amazon has in fact been experimenting in this space of old goods for quite some time. In June 2015, its website Junglee launched a pilot service allowing users to sell their old products. Amazon also launched Junglee in the year 2012 with an aim of helping customers find and also discover products from both online and offline shops.
